Meet Elisa, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist

Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Elisa Nebolsine, and I am a licensed clinical social worker specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

I received my Master’s degree from Smith College in 1997, and have been working with kids, adolescents, and young adults ever since.

If you ask me about my work, I will tell you that I am one of the lucky ones. I have an amazing job working with bright, committed kids and adults. I am always challenged and always learning.

My work is rich and dimensional.

In addition to my clinical practice supporting individuals, I also serve in a number of roles supporting CBT students, practitioners, and clinicians.

Clinical Supervisor, Adjunct Faculty, and Speaker for the Beck Institute

Through the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, I work with clinicians across the country to become strong and skilled CBT practitioners. I serve as a clinical supervisor, adjunct faculty and speaker for the Beck Institute, and it is an enormous honor to work for Aaron and Judith Beck's organization.

Adjunct Faculty at Catholic University

At Catholic University’s graduate school of social work, I currently teach Child Clinical Practice and have taught Cognitive Behavioral Theory, on campus and online.

Guest Speaker, Consultant & Presenter

I frequently consult and present for schools, mental health organizations, and other private practices looking to improve their implementation of CBT with youth.

Washingtonian Top Therapist

As a Washingtonian Top Therapist in 4 areas, I am always researching new techniques to share with colleagues, and to better serve those in need of cognitive behavioral therapy.

Accreditation & Memberships

I have been very fortunate to have been interviewed in different publications, including local television, and have accreditation through the Academy of Cognitive Therapy as a certified diplomat. I am a member of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT), the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
